What time is it?

When minute hand points at three, we say “quarter past” (“y cuarto” -siempre que el minutero señala el número tres, en inglés decimos “quarter past”).

When minute hand points at nine, we say “quarter to” (“menos cuarto” -siempre que el minutero señala el número nueve, en inglés decimos “quarter to”).
